Achira Sierra Resort recommended by Lonely Planet, is located at 1,350 mts. (4,400 ft.) in a beautiful and peaceful valley with the bird's eye view of the majestic archeological ruins of Samaipata and Amboro National Park. It offers cabins some with kitchens, with capacities for 2, 4, 6, 7, 9 and 18 persons. The rustic cabins with capacity for 4 persons, along with the camping area are located in the midst of a tangerine cove, they both have barbecue grills and tables.

The resort is 112 Km. (70 miles), a 2 hour drive from the City of Santa Cruz de la Sierra on the paved highway to Cochabamba arid Sucre and 8 km. (5 miles) from Samaipata, and can be easily reached by car, taxi or bus. Any bus that goes to Samaipata, Mairana, Vallegrande or Comarapa can stop at the turnoff to Achira Sierra Resort, which is aproximately 1 km. from the highway to the main entrance. There are signs along the highway, at the turnoff, and along the access road to the entrance gate.

The Paredones river flows along the perimeter of the 6 hectares ( 14 acres) property, where you can enjoy picnicking and swimming. You can admire giant ferns, wild parrots, all kinds of birds and butterflies.

Achira Sierra Resort has "Añanguay" restaurant with home cooked style meals, bar, social center with fireplace, gameroom, tennis, paddle, soccer field, volleyball, shuffieboard, mini-golf, horseback riding, barbecue area, adult and children pools (in season). It has 2 conference rooms, "Amboro" with capacity of 150 persons and "Kallanka" with capacity of 120 persons, where seminars, conventions, family get togethers, weddinds and other activities can be held.
